Zelda Switch 2: Repairing Gear via New Accompanying App!
Good news, Hyrule adventurers! The upcoming Switch 2 versions of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are getting a cool new feature: equipment repair via a companion app. We all know that breakable weapons are a bit of a love-hate thing, forcing you to try new things, but also causing frustration when your best sword shatters during a tough fight.
Nintendo is updating its app alongside the game releases, adding features like achievements, voiced navigation, and fresh memories. But the big news is the daily bonus system!
Daily Bonuses to the Rescue!
Each day, you'll get a chance to spin a roulette wheel in the app for a daily bonus that you can activate in-game. These bonuses, as discovered by Zeltik, include everything from health restoration and energy cell recharges to meals and, crucially, equipment repairs! This means you can keep your favorite weapons going just a little bit longer.
Worried about game balance? Don't be! The bonus can only be used once per day. Plus, the roulette wheel changes daily, so repairs won't always be available. Think of it as a nice little helping hand when your sword is about to give up the ghost against a Lynel.
While the Switch 2 editions will enhance the visual experience, Nintendo has confirmed that the Breath of the Wild version won't include the paid DLC. However, the app will also get improvements to screenshot and video capture and sharing.
And keep an eye out for Age of Imprisonment, the Hyrule Warriors sequel to Tears of the Kingdom!
