Xbox's Gears of War: E-Day & State of Decay 3 Possibly Coming to PS5!
Hey everyone! It looks like PlayStation 5 owners might be getting some cool new additions to their game library. Word on the street is that two Xbox-published titles, Gears of War: E-Day and State of Decay 3, could be making their way to the PS5.
Now, before you get too hyped, this info comes from a report citing resumes of developers working on the games. Apparently, these resumes list the PS5 as a target platform. It's not official confirmation, but it's definitely interesting!
You know, Xbox has been pretty open to sharing its games with other platforms lately. They already brought some of their previously exclusive titles to PlayStation and Switch, like Grounded and Sea of Thieves and Hi-Fi Rush and more recently Forza Horizon 5 and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, so this wouldn't be totally out of left field. It seems they're all about getting their games into as many hands as possible, which is awesome!
Gears of War: E-Day
If you're not familiar, Gears of War: E-Day is a prequel set 14 years before the original Gears of War. We'll get to see a younger Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago, with John DiMiaggio and Carlos Ferro reprising their roles. For me, this is awesome. I love prequels!
State of Decay 3
And regarding State of Decay 3? That makes me wonder if the first two games will eventually find their way to PlayStation as well. State of Decay 3 was announced back in 2020, but things went a bit quiet for a while. The developers have been teasing a "shared world experience" where players can explore independently, which sounds pretty ambitious. I hope it's good.
It is important to remember that all of this is still rumor and speculation. So, keep your expectations in check until we get an official announcement. But if it's true, PS5 owners are in for a treat! I'll keep you posted as soon as I hear anything more!
