The Sims 4 gets glass walls, rooftop greenery, and some other free bits ahead of next expansion
Hey Simmers! I've got some exciting news for you. The Sims 4 is about to get a whole lot more magical with the upcoming Enchanted by Nature expansion. But before we dive into the fairy realm, EA has dropped a free content update that's available right now. This update includes some cool features, like glass walls and rooftop plants. How cool is that?
Glass walls are finally here. If you're like me and love building modern homes, you're going to love this feature. It's under Misc > Wall Patterns in Build Mode. You can now create stunning, light-filled spaces. Imagine your Sims enjoying the view without ever having to step outside. Or, you know, create some sneaky partitions. Also, you can combine them with glass roofs for the ultimate greenhouse vibe.
And what about rooftop plants? Yes, you can now add some greenery to the top of your houses. It's a small detail, but it makes a big difference in adding a touch of nature to your Sims' lives.
But that's not all! The update also brings some handy inventory improvements. You can now sort your inventory in new ways, like by price, name, crafting quality, and rarity. No more digging through a messy inventory to find what you need. Plus, spoiled foods now have a red background, so you'll know exactly what to toss out.
The notebook has also gotten a refresh. The new layout is designed to make it easier to keep track of your household Collections. It's now more intuitive and engaging, making it easier to jot down notes and explore unique categories.
EA also fixed a bunch of issues. For example, rain and snow should no longer appear inside your Sims' homes. I know, it's about time! And kids should no longer stretch out when playing the violin. It's these little details that make the game so much better. There's a bunch more fixes that you can check out in EA's announcement post.
The Enchanted by Nature expansion is launching next Thursday, July 10th. It introduces fairies as a new supernatural Sim option, complete with a new coastal world called Innisgreen. There's also new adventures, skills, traits, and a new mechanic based around emotional balance. Sounds like a lot of fun, right?
So, what do you think? Are you excited about the new update and the upcoming expansion? I know I am. I can't wait to start building with glass walls and creating a magical fairy world for my Sims.
