The Coin Game Lands on Consoles & PC in Early 2026 After Early Access!
I've been keeping an eye on The Coin Game for a while now, and I'm stoked to share that it's finally leaving Early Access! Publisher Kwalee and developer devotid just announced that this open-world arcade adventure is set to fully launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam in early 2026. It's been a long time coming, considering it first hit Early Access on PC way back on February 22, 2019.
If you haven't heard of it, The Coin Game is all about exploring an island jam-packed with arcade fun. Think ticket games, quirky robots, and tons of activities. You can dive into realistic arcades with machines inspired by modern favorites and trade your tickets for prizes. It really sounds like a nostalgia trip.
Imagine hanging out at Larry’s Arcade, jamming with animatronics Teddy and the Ticket Eaters, or hitting up UFO Arcade for some space-themed games, laser tag, and indoor go-karting. It even features a ’90s-style indoor mall with an arcade, food court, shops, and a cinema where you can watch your own movies! There are also minions that are big fans of Teddy and might challenge you in Laser Tag! Sounds chaotic and awesome!
What Else is in Store?
If you are looking for something more adventurous, you can head to Lenny’s WaterPark or test your skills at mini-golf and RC boat racing at One Eyed Billie’s, which has a pirate theme. The Traveling Carnival features over 20 classic games, rides, and new prizes, too!
For those who like a challenge, Survivor Mode starts you off with limited funds. You have to keep an eye on your health and energy by grabbing food around the island. Jerry’s got the healthy stuff if you can afford it, but junk food is always cheap!
If you run out of cash, you can scavenge dumpsters, deliver newspapers, or sell prizes at the Pawn Shop. Or, you might have to ask Uncle Phil for some extra allowance! If you want to chill, Birthday Mode gives you unlimited cash, so you can just enjoy the arcades. You will be able to fill your belly with soda and cheesy poofs, leaving sticky fingerprints on over 50 different games.
There are many ways to travel around the island. For example, you can take the bus, your golf cart, bike, or Mom’s van. Walking is always an option, but watch out for traffic!
You can play The Coin Game with a mouse, keyboard, or controller. The game has an easy key mapping system, so you can use almost any controller.
Key Features include: Over 50 modern-inspired arcade machines, Survivor and Birthday modes, an open world full of side activities, and multiple ways to travel around the island.
