Hey everyone! I've got some exciting news for you Nintendo Switch fans out there. ProbablyMonsters just dropped the bomb with the announcement of Storm Lancers, a brand-new side-scrolling roguelike action game! And guess what? It's designed for cooperative play, so grab a friend and get ready for some serious fun this fall.

What's the deal with Storm Lancers?

Okay, so the premise is pretty cool. You and your buddy crash-land on this weird alien planet called Cryptica, which holds a source of powerful magic. Apparently, all of reality is on the verge of collapse (as it always is in these games, right?), and you've been chosen to be the heroes. It’s up to you two to save the day, fighting, dying, and bonding with these magical creatures called Stormhearts to become stronger and unstoppable.

Since it's a roguelike, you can expect a lot of replayability and intense action. Each run will be different, with shifting biomes and new items to discover. With every jump, slash, and dash, you'll get closer to unraveling the mysteries of the planet. It seems like the devs are really focusing on making each playthrough unique, and that’s something I always appreciate in a roguelike.

One of the best things about Storm Lancers is that it’s designed for couch co-op. I love games that let you team up with a friend in person, and this one seems perfect for that. You can explore the alien world of Cryptica and battle enemies side-by-side, using your combined abilities, weapons, and power-ups. But what if your partner has to leave? Well, the game lets you switch seamlessly from co-op to solo play, so you can keep the action going.

I am looking forward to see what the game has to offer in terms of enemies and weapons. I really like the fact that the game encourages players to adapt quickly to the ever-changing battlefield. From what I saw, there will be a variety of weapons to use, from swords to grenade launchers, each designed for destruction. Choose wisely, or die quickly!

I'm really excited to see how Storm Lancers turns out. The combination of side-scrolling action, roguelike elements, and co-op gameplay seems like a perfect fit for the Switch. I will keep my eyes open for more news!
