Star Wars Zero Company: Gritty Tactical Adventure in Clone Wars Era

Gaming

Get ready to dive into a new corner of the galaxy with Star Wars: Zero Company, a turn-based tactics game set during the Clone Wars. Developed by Bit Reactor in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment, this single-player experience promises a gritty and authentic story unlike anything you've seen before in the Star Wars universe.

Confirmed way back in 2022, Zero Company puts you in command of Hawks, a customizable ex-Republic officer. You'll lead a squad of elite operatives, navigating through tactical operations and investigations across the galaxy. These aren't your typical soldiers; they're cunning professionals, forced to set aside their differences to face an emerging threat.

Building Your Team and Strategy

Between missions, you'll develop your base of operations, gather intelligence, and recruit new operators. Customization is key, allowing you to tailor your squad to your playstyle and the challenges ahead. You'll also encounter a brand-new cast of Star Wars characters, adding depth and intrigue to the narrative.

According to Greg Foertsch, CEO and creative director at Bit Reactor, Star Wars: Zero Company aims to blend the immersive Star Wars galaxy with engaging turn-based gameplay. The goal is to deliver an original story from the Clone Wars era, where player choices have meaningful consequences.

While a precise release date is still under wraps, EA is targeting a 2026 launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. This title marks a significant collaboration, bringing together the talents of Respawn Entertainment and Bit Reactor, a studio formed by veterans of XCOM and Civilization developer Firaxis Games.

Originally announced alongside other Star Wars projects, including Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Zero Company stands out as a unique entry in the franchise, offering a blend of tactical depth and narrative immersion.
