Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition Appears with a Rating for PS5 and Switch
So, here's the scoop: it looks like Rayman is making a comeback! The Australian Classification board just rated something called "Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition" for the PS5 and Switch. And the plot thickens – Atari is listed as the developer and publisher, with U&I Entertainment as the applicant. Now, that's an interesting mix.
Atari dabbling with classic IPs isn't new. They did Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection, remember? Plus, U&I Entertainment has handled physical releases for both Ubisoft and Atari games, like The Rogue Prince of Persia. Given that, my gut feeling is that this rating is for a physical edition of something Rayman-related. It makes sense, right?
If you remember, Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan hinted at "working together on the future of Rayman" back in September 2025. Now, that's a while ago, but it kept the hope alive.
Then, there was this rumor from Tom Henderson at Insider Gaming. He mentioned two Rayman projects in the works at Ubisoft: one codenamed "Iceman" (supposedly coming really soon to celebrate the 30th anniversary), and another codenamed "Steambot," a Rayman Legends remake. Of course, these were just rumors, but "Iceman" and this new rating do seem to align, don't they? It adds up, in my opinion.
While we don't have concrete details just yet, it sure seems like Ubisoft might be gearing up to give Rayman fans something special. Whether it's a remake, a collection of classics, or something entirely new, I'm definitely keeping my eye on this. I mean, who doesn't love a bit of Rayman nostalgia?
