Hey everyone! Remember Prototype, that awesome game where you could, like, totally morph into anything? Well, guess what? It just got a surprise update on Steam, and it's got everyone buzzing about a possible remaster! I mean, who wouldn't want to see Alex Mercer causing mayhem with updated graphics?

This update is super sneaky; it doesn't even tell you what it does! But, some smart gamers have been digging around. It seems like the update added new names to the credits. And get this, some of those names are from Iron Galaxy, the studio that worked on the Tony Hawk and Spyro remakes. Could this mean they're working on a Prototype remaster? I really hope so!

Other studios like Beenox and Demonware also got shout-outs in the credits, which is pretty interesting. There's even some mention of a Ubisoft Connect version of Prototype, which, as far as I know, doesn't even exist. So, things are definitely cooking behind the scenes.

Of course, none of this is official yet, so don't get your hopes up *too* high. But, if you're like me and never actually played Prototype back in the day, maybe now's the time to check it out. I've heard it's a bit of a mixed bag. One person said that half the game is pure fun, while the other half seems determined to ruin that fun. But, honestly, that sounds like my kind of game!

If you want to jump in, you might need some mods to get it running smoothly on modern PCs. The recent update even broke some of those mods temporarily, but luckily the creator fixed it quickly. So, if you're ready to unleash your inner shapeshifting superhero, now's your chance! Prototype is waiting, and hopefully, a remaster is on the way too!
