Peak

Peak mod adds thousands of player skeletons to your climb

Adventure

Hey everyone! So, there's this game called Peak, right? It's all about climbing these massive mountains, and it can be pretty intense. But what if I told you someone made it even more, uh, memorable?

A modder named Steven, who usually hangs out in the Beat Saber community, decided to create something called Everest. It's a mod that fills your game with the skeletons of other players who didn't quite make it. Yeah, you read that right – skeletons!

Imagine scaling a mountain and seeing the skeletal remains of over 10,000 adventurers scattered around. That's what Steven accomplished! Apparently, the goal is to create a shared experience, marking dangerous areas and connecting you to other players through their unfortunate demise. It’s like a morbid way of saying, "Hey, I died here too!"

Think of it as Dark Souls, but with more bones and less cryptic messages. Instead of "try finger but hole," you'll probably just get "try ledge but fall" from the silent skeletal remains.

If you're thinking of giving this a shot, you'll need BepInEx and UniTask. It sounds a bit complicated, but hey, who said decorating your mountain with corpses would be easy? And while it's completely optional, I feel obligated to suggest playing Drowning Pool's "Bodies" on repeat while you're at it. Just adds to the atmosphere, you know?
