Hey everyone! Great news for fans of classic samurai action! Capcom has just dropped a demo for the Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny remaster, and you can grab it right now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam. I am super excited to dive back into this classic.

Before you get too excited, keep in mind that save data from the demo won't transfer to the full game. So, while you can get a feel for the gameplay and story, you'll be starting fresh when the full game launches.

For those of you who might be new to the series, Onimusha 2 puts you in the boots of Jubei Yagyu, a skilled Oni warrior. The character model is based on the famous Japanese actor, Yusaku Matsuda. As Jubei, you'll gain access to awesome new fighting techniques powered by the Oni, including devastating Critical Attacks. I always loved how the game mixed historical elements with supernatural powers, it gave the game a very unique touch.

The full game launched on May 23rd, and, so far, it seems pretty awesome. Improved graphics and modernized controls are nice updates to a classic. I remember playing the original and being blown away by the atmosphere and intense combat, and I'm hoping the remaster captures that magic.

Anyway, download the demo and let me know what you think! Are you excited to return to the world of Onimusha, or is this your first time experiencing the samurai action?
