Okay, so there's been some chatter about the latest Nintendo Switch update (21.0.0) messing with third-party docks. You know, those docks some of us buy to have extra setups around the house or for easier travel. The update brought some cool tweaks, like showing whether your game is physical or digital, but some users reported their third-party docks stopped working afterwards.

Nintendo has officially responded to the concerns. They're saying that the Switch is designed to output video when it detects it's docked, regardless of whether it's an official Nintendo dock or not. According to them, they have no intention of blocking third-party docks that are legally made. So, breathe easy!

Now, a legit Nintendo Switch dock can set you back a pretty penny. Because of this, many players opt for the more budget-friendly third-party options. If some docks stopped working, it sounds like it was an unintentional side effect of the update, not a deliberate move by Nintendo.

Outside of gaming, Nintendo also has plans of releasing two big films: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and the Legend of Zelda movie, so there's a lot to look forward to!
