New John Wick Game: Is it Secretly an Untitled Goose Game Sequel?
Okay, so, I saw the trailer for Saber Interactive's new John Wick game, and while everyone's busy talking about the gun-fu and Keanu Reeves, my brain went somewhere totally different. Seriously, hear me out!
They're calling it Untitled John Wick Game for now, and that got me thinking. Remember Untitled Goose Game? That chaotic, honking menace simulator? Well, what if this Wick game is secretly a spiritual successor? I know it sounds crazy, but think about it. Both Wick and that goose just want to be left alone. However, when they're pushed, they unleash a world of pain on anyone in their way. It's the same energy, people!
John Wick is even nicknamed Baba Yaga, a witch from folklore. What do witches have? Familiars. A goose can be a familiar. I rest my case.
Of course, Saber says they're working closely with Keanu and the movie folks to make the game super authentic. They want it to feel like a playable action movie. They're even diving into John Wick's backstory, introducing new characters and exploring a "significant time" in his life. That sounds cool and all, but I'm still holding out for some goose-like chaos.
Look, maybe I'm completely off base. Perhaps, this John Wick game will be a serious, gritty action experience. But a part of me will always believe it's just a goose game in disguise. We'll have to wait and see when it drops on PC... whenever that may be.
