So, here's the scoop! It seems like Nintendo might be planning to spice up Mario Kart World's Battle mode with some explosive action. Earlier this week, a sneak peek of upcoming Mario Day events for Mario Kart World surfaced online. Nintendo, in a blink, pulled down the image, but the internet never forgets!

The leaked image, still living on Reddit, showed an updated Battle mode icon rocking a Bob-omb. This has got everyone thinking that Bob-omb Blast, a classic Battle mode from previous Mario Kart games, is making its way to Mario Kart World. For those who don't know, Bob-omb Blast is all about throwing exploding Bob-ombs at your rivals to score points. Right now, Mario Kart World only offers Balloon Battle and Coin Runners as Battle options, which are great, but a little variety never hurt anyone.
