Krafton Acquires Last Epoch Developer Eleventh Hour Games!

RPG

Big news in the gaming world! Krafton, the folks behind PUBG, have just acquired Eleventh Hour Games, the developers of the action RPG Last Epoch. And get this, the deal cost them a cool $96 million! It sounds like Krafton is serious about making a splash in the ARPG scene, a genre that, if you ask me, could always use more awesome titles.

According to Krafton, this acquisition is all about growing their global audience and getting better at live service games. But don't worry, the team at Eleventh Hour Games will still be in charge of Last Epoch. They'll even be expanding the game to consoles and adding more seasonal content. I'm personally excited to see what they come up with!

Judd Cobler, CEO of Eleventh Hour Games, seems pretty stoked about the deal too. He said that joining Krafton is a "dream come true" and that Krafton's passion for ARPGs perfectly matches their own. With Krafton's support, they're hoping to take Last Epoch to the next level.

However, Last Epoch didn't get a perfect score. One review pointed out that while the game has a versatile build system and interesting crafting mechanics, the excitement can fade after you've created your builds. Hopefully, with Krafton's backing, Eleventh Hour Games can address some of these issues and keep players engaged for the long haul.

In other news, Krafton is also dealing with a lawsuit from the former leaders of Unknown Worlds, who were apparently ousted from their positions. Krafton insists that all decisions about Subnautica 2 are being made to ensure it's a fantastic game. It's always interesting to see the behind-the-scenes drama in the gaming industry!
