Get ready to dive into HELLREAPER, a brand-new side-scrolling action game that's coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam! Awesome Games Studio just dropped the news, and while we don't have a release date yet, I'm already intrigued by the concept.

In HELLREAPER, you play as the, well, Hellreaper – a force so wild that even Hell is scared of you. Your mission? To take down hordes of nasty creatures and epic bosses. Sounds like a good time, right? You'll also get to play around with different weapons, cursed magic, and ancient relics, evolving your character as you descend further into the abyss.

The story is pretty cool too. When Hell gets too strong, Heaven has to step in, and they unleash the Hellreaper as their last resort. Basically, they sacrifice an angel to create this super powerful being that might just restore balance. With the help of some mysterious entities called The Three Sisters, you'll uncover the secrets behind Hell's corruption. The devs also teased that there will "probably" be cats... I don't know about you, but a game with cats is always a plus in my book!

Awesome Games Studio is calling HELLREAPER a "tough but fair game" with controls that are super responsive. They're a small indie team, but they're also passionate gamers, and that shows. They've worked closely with their community on previous titles like Fury Unleashed and Yet Another Zombie Survivors, so you know they care about making their games as fun as possible.
