Hold up, PlayStation gamers! You read that right. Halo is finally making its way to PS5! I know, it sounds crazy, but Microsoft just dropped a bombshell at the Halo World Championship: Halo: Campaign Evolved, a complete remake of the original Halo: Combat Evolved campaign, is slated to launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S next year.

Imagine experiencing the iconic story of Master Chief and Cortana, but with a fresh coat of paint. This isn't just a simple remaster; the game's being rebuilt from the ground up using Unreal Engine 5. We're talking high-definition visuals, smoother controls, and even two-player splitscreen co-op on consoles. Plus, if you're feeling social, you can jump into four-player online co-op on both console and PC.

What's New?

It's not just a graphical upgrade, though. The developers are adding three new missions, expanding the arsenal with weapons from across the Halo universe, introducing new vehicles and enemies, and generally sprucing things up based on feedback from the Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary release. Think better navigation, more diverse enemy encounters. For example, they're even tweaking the infamous Library level, adding new dialogue for Guilty Spark to guide players and flesh out the story.

You'll be able to use weapons like the Energy Sword, Battle Rifle and Needle Rifle! I always wanted to slice some enemies with the Energy Sword.

The team wants to immerse you in Halo's legacy like never before. This is Halo for everyone, now! And if you're already on Game Pass, you'll get to play it day one.
