Get ready, samurai! The highly anticipated Ghost of Yōtei, the follow-up to the acclaimed Ghost of Tsushima, is officially launching on PlayStation 5 on October 2nd this year. Sucker Punch Productions has been hard at work crafting a new adventure, and fans are eager to dive into the world of Atsu and her quest for vengeance.

A New Hero, A New Vendetta

While Ghost of Yōtei's story is separate from Jin Sakai's journey, Sucker Punch promises a worthy successor. This time, players will step into the sandals of Atsu, a warrior seeking revenge against the Yōtei Six, a ruthless gang of outlaws who destroyed her home and family. The trailer unveils Atsu's tragic past, left for dead and pinned to a burning tree. Driven by vengeance, she hones her skills, becoming a deadly force. Her hit list includes The Snake, The Oni, The Kitsune, The Spider, The Dragon, and Lord Saito.

What to Expect

Sucker Punch is addressing some of the criticisms leveled at Ghost of Tsushima, particularly regarding its repetitive open-world activities. The studio aims to create a more varied and engaging world for players to explore. The developers added that today's trailer is just a small taste of what players can expect on Ghost of Yōtei's release

Pre-order Bonuses and Editions

Pre-orders for Ghost of Yōtei open next week, on May 2nd. No matter which version you choose, pre-ordering grants you a unique in-game mask and a set of seven PSN avatars featuring concept art of Atsu and the Yōtei Six.

Here's a breakdown of the available editions:

• Standard Edition: Includes the base game for £69.99 / €79.99.
• Digital Deluxe Edition: Priced at £79.99 / €89.99, this edition comes with the game plus bonus content, including The Snake's armor set, an alternate dye for your starting armor, a unique horse color and saddle dye, an in-game Charm, a gold Sword Kit, and early access to Traveler's Maps.
• Collector's Edition: Pricing is yet to be announced, but the Collector's Edition includes all pre-order bonuses, all in-game items from the Digital Deluxe Edition, a digital copy of the game, a replica display edition of Atsu's Ghost mask, a replica of Atsu's sash (featuring the names of the Yōtei Six), a replica of the Tsuba from Atsu's katana, a pouch of coins, instructions to play Zeni Hajiki, a foldable papercraft ginkgo tree with a wolf at its base, and four art cards.
