Fortnite's Death Star Easter Egg: Find It!
The new season of Fortnite, Chapter Six, Season Three, is set to be a Star Wars extravaganza, aptly named Galactic Battle. Even though the season hasn't officially launched, Epic Games has already dropped a massive hint: the Death Star Easter egg.
These hidden gems are always exciting to find, offering a sneak peek into the future of the game. So, how can players catch a glimpse of this iconic space station?
Finding the Death Star
The Death Star can be spotted in the sky above the Fortnite island. However, it's not the easiest thing to see. Without a weapon that has a scope, it appears as a tiny dot, almost imperceptible. To increase the chances of spotting it, players should look up early in the match, as the storm clouds will eventually obscure the view as the round progresses.
Traveling to higher elevations around the island can also help. The snowy peaks and locations like Shogun's Solitude offer better vantage points. Basically, any location with a clear view of the sky will do, but the higher, the better!
What's the Death Star Doing?
Currently, the Death Star serves purely as a visual teaser. It doesn't have any gameplay functions. It's similar to previous Easter eggs, like the Sabrina Carpenter reference, which were purely hints at upcoming content. The Death Star plays a big role in the Galactic Battle season trailer, suggesting it will become more significant as the season unfolds.
The Easter egg is expected to get closer to the island and increase in size as the season launch approaches. This is a common tactic Fortnite uses to build hype. Once the season begins, the Death Star will likely remain visible in the sky throughout the Galactic Battle season.
Can You Visit the Death Star?
Unfortunately, players can't currently travel to the Death Star. While this could change with the launch of Chapter Six, Season Three, it seems unlikely. The Death Star's massive size makes it an impractical location for exploration.
However, there will be plenty of other iconic Star Wars locations to visit during the season. Trailers have already shown the Millennium Falcon and an AT-AT-themed restaurant called eAT-eAT.
Until the Galactic Battle season arrives, there are still many activities to enjoy on the island. Players can unlock TMNT skins, search for jewelry cases, and spend bars on an Outlaw Flusher.
