Escape from Tarkov Finally Gets a Steam Release Date After Long Early Access!
Okay, so, Escape from Tarkov is *finally* getting a full release on November 15th, after being in early access for what feels like forever. And guess what? It's heading to Steam!
I remember when Tarkov first dropped its alpha back in August 2016. Seriously, that was ages ago. It launched around the same time as No Man's Sky and Stardew Valley! I was probably still trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life at that point.
Anyway, Nikita Buyanov, the head honcho at Battlestate Games, has been teasing the Steam release. At first, he posted a gif of some dude ironing. I thought it was a joke, but it turned out to be a hint.
Then, Buyanov just straight-up posted a picture of the Steam page. No more messing around! It's happening, people!
However, some players are wondering if they'll have to buy the game again if they want to switch to Steam. That's a valid question, and hopefully, Battlestate Games will clarify that soon.
If you haven't played Tarkov in a while, just a heads up: cheaters are still a thing. But despite that, it's still a pretty awesome survival game. I read an article once where someone was desperately searching for toilet paper in the game and finding only guns. Priorities, right?
Will it be worth it?
But hey, I'm excited about the Steam release. Hopefully, it'll bring in some new players and maybe even clean up the cheater situation a bit. Here's hoping everyone finds some virtual toilet paper!
