Elden Ring Nightreign: Storm Ruler Gets a Boost and Bugs are Squashed!
Hey everyone! Elden Ring Nightreign just got a new patch, and I'm here to break it down for you. The servers were down for about three hours this morning, but it was all for a good reason: Patch 1.02.1 is now live on all platforms.
So, what's new? Well, the biggest change is definitely the buff to the Storm Ruler skill. If you're like me, you might have thought this skill was a bit underwhelming before. But now, it's getting some serious love! They've reduced the time it takes to charge the storm effect, sped up the blade animation, and even boosted the attack power when it's not fully charged. Sounds good, right?
The Storm Ruler is kind of a special weapon skill, and it's pretty useful during the Everdark Sovereign Augur fight that was recently added. It's similar to how the Storm Ruler worked against Yhorm the Giant in Dark Souls 3, allowing you to deal massive damage to the boss with each use. From what I've seen, it will be a great experience!
Bug Fixes Galore
Apart from the Storm Ruler buff, the rest of the patch focuses on fixing a whole bunch of bugs. And believe me, there were a lot of them! Here are some of the highlights:
- Fixed a bug where using dropped items would lock you out of doing anything except moving the camera.
- Fixed a bug that stopped guard effects from triggering properly.
- Fixed a bug that caused target lock to be immediately released on eggs or insects parasitizing the player character when Duchess's Ultimate Art "Finale" effect is active.
- Fixed a bug where some attacks by Everdark Sovereign "Maris, Fathom of Night" would cause stagger damage even when blocked with the Executor's Skill.
I'm not going to list every single bug fix here, but you get the idea. It looks like they've been working hard to squash all those pesky little problems.
Also, there are some fixes for Everdark Sovereigns "Caligo, Miasma of Night” and "Maris, Fathom of Night" to make the battles more fluid!
Overall, this seems like a solid patch. The Storm Ruler buff is a welcome addition, and all those bug fixes should make the game a lot smoother. If you've been having any issues with Elden Ring Nightreign, be sure to download the update and see if it helps!
In conclusion, FromSoftware is doing a great job with Elden Ring Nightreign! I can't wait to see what they have in store for us in the future.
