Dying Light: The Beast

Dying Light: The Beast Release Pushed Back for Extra Polish

Action

Alright, listen up, fellow zombie slayers! It looks like we're gonna have to wait a little longer before we can dive headfirst into Dying Light: The Beast. Techland, the masterminds behind the game, just announced they're pushing the release date back to September 19th. I know, I know, it's a bummer when you're hyped for a game and then have to wait a bit longer.

Why the delay, you ask? Well, they're saying they want to add some extra polish to the game. Apparently, they've been listening to our feedback from playtests, previews, and all those comments we've been leaving online. They figured that with just four more weeks, they can tweak those little details that can make a HUGE difference between a good game and a GREAT one. And I respect that decision, its better wait a little bit more to have a better experience.

So, what exactly are they going to be working on during this extra time? From what I've heard, they'll be making some adjustments to the cutscenes and player animations. They are also planning to fine-tune the balance of gameplay elements and make the UI a bit clearer. All of these changes are welcome, since everyone wants a fluid experience!

Techland knows we might be a little disappointed, but they swear it's for the best. They see Dying Light: The Beast as the culmination of everything they've learned over a decade of making Dying Light games. I remember when they first showed off the game at Gamescom last year. It was originally planned as just a DLC for Dying Light 2 Stay Human, but it grew into something much bigger. Speaking of that, if you own the Ultimate Edition of Dying Light 2, you're in luck! You're getting The Beast as a free standalone adventure, instead of just a DLC. That's a pretty sweet deal if you ask me.

Anyway, while the delay might sting a bit, I'm personally glad Techland is taking the time to make sure Dying Light: The Beast is the best it can be. After all, we've waited this long, a few more weeks won't kill us (unless, of course, a zombie gets to us first!).
