To face the formidable General Velgar in RuneScape: Dragonwilds, players need to gather specific items for the Challenge Horn. One of the most important is the Dragon Tooth, which is made from the bones of a giant wyrm. This guide will help you find this item.

Locating the Dragon Tooth

During the Dragon Slayer Primary Quest, players will receive the Challenge Horn recipe from Cathan. Although the instructions are not very detailed, the Dragon Tooth can be found in the southwest area of Stormtouched Highlands.

Preparation and Precautions

Before exploring this dangerous area, it is highly recommended to prepare carefully. Bring an Iron Pickaxe and set up a Lodestone. The Iron Pickaxe is needed to mine the Dragon Tooth, and players may need to craft it using Iron Bars, Blightwood, and Hard Leather. Alternatively, the Rocksplosion spell can be used. The Lodestone serves as a safety net, allowing players to quickly escape if things go wrong.

Mining the Dragon Tooth

In the Stormtouched Highlands, look for a huge dragon skull with teeth. Players can mine or explode the teeth to get the item for the Crafting Horn recipe. Be aware of the nearby enemy base camp and the critters in the area. Although they look cute, these creatures can be aggressive and interfere with mining efforts.

Additional Tips

Only one Dragon Tooth is needed for the Crafting Horn recipe. If players die in the Stormtouched Highlands, the Dragon Tooth will remain in their inventory. Players will still need to retrieve their other gear from the tomb. For further progress in the Dragon Slayer quest, players will need to collect five Bronze Bars and one Bloodwood Sap.
