Hey everyone! So, remember how Blizzard promised us a tough, leaderboard-driven challenge in Diablo 4? Well, it's finally happening! The beta for The Tower, along with its leaderboards, is about to drop, and I'm pretty hyped about it.

If you're curious, this new experience is launching today at 11am PT, 2pm ET, 7pm GMT. It's a beta version, so it's arriving alongside update 2.5.2. Think of it as a sneak peek, not the full monty just yet.

This early launch isn't the complete deal. It's more like a sneak peek designed to get player feedback, which Blizzard can then use to improve the final version. I think it's a great way to involve the community and make sure the final product is something we all enjoy.

And guess what? The beta is open to everyone! You won't have to jump through hoops to get the PTR build. The Tower and Leaderboards will be exclusively in the Seasonal Realm, and the plan is to build on it with each season. I'm excited to see how they evolve this over time.

The Tower itself is pretty straightforward. You climb as many floors as possible, battling increasingly tough enemies along the way. It's a race against time and difficulty.

To complete a run, you've got to reach and beat the Tower’s final boss. Your time then gets posted to the leaderboard, where you can see how you stack up against other players. Time to bring my A-game!

To get started, you need to complete Rank 2 of the current Season Rank. An Obelisk will appear in Cerrigar, granting you access to the challenge. It's like a secret entrance to the gauntlet, which is kinda cool.

The Leaderboards will run on a two-week schedule during the season. They're set to close the day before the Season of the Divine Interversion ends. So, make sure you get your climbs in before time runs out!

While we've been waiting for these additions, it's true that things have been a bit quiet in Diablo 4. Of course, we did get the surprise arrival of The Paladin class last December, coinciding with the announcement of Lord of Hatred. That was a nice little pick-me-up!
