Hey everyone! I have some news about Marvel Rivals. Even with awesome games like Arc Raiders and Battlefield 6 around, it's great to see Marvel Rivals is still going strong. I think it's a pretty cool alternative to Overwatch 2, and it's been getting a lot of love since it launched in late 2024. The big news? Deadpool is joining the fight, and his gameplay trailer is seriously awesome! If you don't know, Deadpool, that's right, the Merc with a Mouth, was confirmed for the game last month. There were leaks about it before, but now it's official! Marvel Rivals has been adding new characters and content faster than Overwatch 2 did, which is a good thing in my opinion. Usually, each character in these games has a specific role like tank, damage dealer, or healer. But Deadpool? Well, he doesn't play by those rules. I've always loved how video games show Deadpool breaking the fourth wall. They do it through his dialogue and some funny moments. In games, he's usually a loud, goofy mercenary with lots of guns and blades. It's cool, but the Marvel Rivals team is taking it to a whole new level. I think Deadpool might be tricky to balance when he arrives on February 16th. What I mean is that he can switch between being a tank, a damage dealer, and a healer. Each of these roles has abilities that deal a lot of damage and help his teammates. When NetEase said he'd be flexible, I didn't expect him to pull out a comic book during a match and choose what he wants to be! Seriously, that's the most Deadpool thing ever. In the trailer, you can see him taking selfies, his enemies getting beat up by comic book drawings, and a really cool MVP screen. It really feels like the best version of Deadpool we've seen in a video game. And the fact that it's all happening in a fast-paced shooter makes it even better. I also need to mention that Season 6 of Marvel Rivals, called 'Night at the Museum,' is starting this Friday, January 16th. Besides Deadpool, players are hoping for better matchmaking and some fixes to make the game even better. It's also worth knowing that Marvel Rivals had over 40 million players since launch, back in February. However, NetEase had to lay off some of the development team last year. They said it was a tough decision to make the game's development more efficient. Despite these challenges, I'm really hyped about Deadpool joining Marvel Rivals. He's such a unique character, and it looks like the developers are doing a great job of bringing him to life in the game. I'm looking forward to jumping in and trying him out myself. What do you think about Deadpool in Marvel Rivals? Let me know in the comments!
