Alright, listen up, Darktide fanatics! The "Bound by Duty" update has finally dropped, and it's a game-changer. If you felt like your Veteran, Psyker, or Zealot was missing something, this is your chance to fine-tune them. Fatshark's aiming for more customization with these skill tree overhauls, meaning you won't have to lock yourself into a specific playstyle right off the bat. Which is awesome, because who wants to be pigeonholed, right?

I mean, let's be real, the best part might just be the Psyker's updated Crystalline Will. You still won't splatter yourself into goo if you overdo the warp juice, but now the accompanying warp eruption is supposed to be a serious threat. I can already imagine the, "Oh no, I'm exploding!" turning into a gleeful, "Oh YES, I'm exploding!"

However, it isn't all sunshine and exploding psykers. The Adeptus Arbites, those hard-nosed law enforcers, got a bit of a nerf. Apparently, they were a little too tough, so Fatshark made them a bit squishier. Fair enough, I guess. Oh, and don't forget to redistribute those skill points if you're playing one of the affected classes! You don't want to go in unprepared.

Mortis Trials Expansion

Now, Mortis Trials is getting some love too. We're talking a new arena, new perks, and more waves of Nurgle's finest to chew through. And for you Veteran players, rejoice! You're getting a class-exclusive Power Falchion sword. Who doesn't love a good sword?

And for those who like to hang back and let the bullets fly, the new Boltgun and Bolt Pistol variants are tuned to make their exploding rounds even more… well, explodey. Someone at Fatshark clearly has a thing for things going "boom." Can't blame them, though, explosions are cool.

While I'm slightly bummed that "Bound by Duty" doesn't bring a fresh mission to the table, I'm still hyped to dive back in and see what these changes bring to the table. Especially since I practically mained Ogryn after his rework. Maybe this will give me the kick in the pants I need to try something new. I'll let you know what I think after I've had some hands-on time!
