Hey everyone! Bandai Namco just dropped a brand-new story trailer for Code Vein II, and it looks absolutely wild. Set in a post-apocalyptic future where humanity's last stand is fought alongside beings called Revenants, the game throws you into a world teetering on the edge of oblivion. If you liked the first game, you will probably like this one!

The narrative seems really intriguing. Basically, a new threat called the Luna Rapacis has turned Revenants into these crazed monsters known as Horrors. You play as a Revenant Hunter, teaming up with a mysterious girl named Lou who has the power to travel through time and change destiny.

I don't know about you, but I love a good time-travel plot! This means you'll be hopping between different eras, making choices that impact the fates of key characters and uncovering hidden truths to try and save the future. It sounds like your decisions will actually matter, which is always a plus in my book.

Gameplay and Features

Now, let's talk gameplay. Code Vein II is an action RPG, so expect some intense combat. You'll be draining blood from enemies to unlock skills, strategizing with Blood Codes, and using unique weapons and equipment called Jails to take down tough enemies and epic bosses.

One of the coolest things is that you won't be alone. You can team up with powerful Partner allies who'll fight alongside you and boost your abilities. Each partner has their own unique skills and backstory, so it seems like building those relationships will be a big part of the game. I'm hoping for some really well-developed characters that will make you care about what happens to them.

I think that the series' new build system, which allows you to freely customize weapons and skills to suit your own battle styles, will be a really good addition to the game.

Code Vein II is slated to release on January 30, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. That's a bit of a wait, but hopefully, it'll be worth it! In the meantime, check out the trailer below and let me know what you think in the comments! Are you excited for this one?
