Battlefield 6

Battlefield 6: Trailer drops with explosions, helicopter crashes! Multiplayer reveal coming soon.

Action

Okay, folks, Battlefield 6 is officially out of the shadows after tons of rumors flying around. The reveal trailer? Let's just say Michael Bay would be proud. Explosions galore! However, there's no solid release date yet, which is a bit of a bummer.

We're still waiting to see if that October release date we heard about pans out. For now, we've only got a sneak peek at the campaign. But hey, they're dropping the multiplayer reveal next week, and honestly, that's a pretty smart move to keep the hype train rolling. I think EA is doing a great job here.

Even though the trailer sets the stage with NATO under attack and glimpses of European cities, it seems like they're leaning into that classic American "rah-rah" vibe, just like Battlefield and Call of Duty have done before. But while CoD is busy adding Beavis and Butthead, Battlefield 6 is going back to its gritty, modern military roots. At least, that's what the single-player campaign seems to be.

Also, this game really, REALLY hates helicopters. I'm not kidding, there are like, four choppers meeting a messy end in that two-minute trailer. Between the cinematic action, there is also a US president talking about an attack by the Pax Armata private military group. These guys seem like the main villains, which makes me think the story might be a bit of a "Can you believe these mercenaries do war for money? Shame on them! You should do it for honor and nationalism like we do," you know?

The trailer wraps up by announcing the multiplayer reveal on July 31st. Mark your calendars! It's happening at 7:30 PM BST / 2:30 PM ET / 11:30 AM PT / 8:30 PM CEST. If you are a fun, you can already find the link to start spamming lyrics of anti-war songs in the chat all week, hahaha!

EA's promising to show off some maps, along with new and classic modes. And get this, they're hoping a cool 100 million players will jump into those battlefields. Judging by the trailer, I guess that means they'll have 100 million helicopters ready to go. It seems like It's going to be explosive!
