Hey everyone! So, A-Train: All Aboard! Tourism is getting a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, and it's launching on December 18th. For those who prefer other languages, it's going to have English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese options.

If you already have the original Switch version of A-Train: All Aboard! Tourism, which came out on Switch back in March 2021 and later on PC via Steam in December 2021, you can get an "Upgrade Pass" for about $15-20. Not bad, right?

In Japan, they're doing a physical edition that comes with the Switch version and the Switch 2 Edition "Upgrade Pass" on the game card. Pretty cool for collectors! Digitally, it'll be a bit cheaper, but honestly, who can resist a physical copy?

What's New?

So, what's new in the Switch 2 Edition? The big one is the "Nintendo Switch 2 Mode." Basically, it lets you throw way more trains, cars, and blueprints into your world. Check out the numbers:

  • Trains: 100 → 160
  • Cars: 100 → 160
  • Blueprints Passenger Trains: 20 → 30
  • Freight Trains: 12 → 18
  • Buses: 12 → 18
  • Trucks: 8 → 12

Also, expect improved graphics and a smoother frame rate. Plus, they're adding auto-save and Game Chat support. Huge win for convenience!

They're even throwing in two new scenarios, but the details are still under wraps. I'm curious to see what those are all about.

Lastly, for those who like to get fancy, it'll have mouse support for Joy-Con 2 / USB mouse.

Overall, it looks like a solid upgrade for A-Train fans! The ability to build even bigger and more complex train networks with the enhanced graphics and frame rate is definitely tempting. I'll be keeping an eye on those new scenarios too!
